Individual Therapy

Life can feel really overwhelming on its own, and when you're juggling multiple responsibilities or navigating tough healthcare decisions, it’s easy to feel like everything is just plain old piling up. Maybe you’re balancing a full-time job while caring for an aging parent or a spouse with complex medical needs. Perhaps you’re a military spouse managing the household, taking care of your kids, putting out fires, and stepping in to fill the gaps when your service member is away (and on potentially dangerous missions). Maybe you’ve just received a diagnosis that changes everything — like a brain tumor — and your future is suddenly full of uncertainty. Or maybe you’ve been given a terminal diagnosis and are considering options for end-of-life support like hospice care.

My goal is to create a space where you can feel truly seen, process your emotions, and build or sharpen the tools needed to manage the additional stress. Finding a healthier emotional balance means having more energy and capacity to be present for yourself and the people you care about. While you can’t control what life throws your way, you can reach out for support and make sure you’re recharging along the way.

I currently offer telehealth services. While I truly enjoy connecting with clients in-person, telehealth has a lot of benefits. I know how busy life can be — medical appointments, school events, childcare, and work commitments really do take up so much of our precious time. Sometimes leaving home for an appointment just isn’t an option because you’re caring for a loved one who can’t safely be left alone or you don’t have someone to watch the kids. Telehealth makes it easier to tap into the support you need without having to disrupt your whole day.

Are you feeling unsure about how to put together a long-term care plan? When faced with a medical condition that requires ongoing care — whether it’s a diagnosis like dementia, Parkinson’s disease, cancer, or a condition that may qualify you for hospice care — many people want to stay at home. Being in a familiar, safe place with access to loved ones, pets, and other comforts sounds ideal, but it’s becoming more challenging to make that happen. The cost of in-home care has skyrocketed, and resources like sick leave, PTO, and finances are often stretched thin. It can be overwhelming to figure out realistic care.

I offer consults to help you understand the options available to you based on the resources available to you — from staying at home with additional support to exploring community-based resources and different care facilities. My goal is to help you or your loved one stay as independent as possible for as long as possible, while ensuring that you have the right support in place for the future. Together, we’ll explore all the possibilities and come up with a framework that fits your needs, is within your budget, and gives you peace of mind. I can then refer you to the people and agencies that can help you put that plan into action.
